Love this idea. Would be fantastic if it could provide support/functionality from a product like Grammarly that has fewer privacy concerns - such as Hemmingway Editor.

Agree with the last comment. Lots of concerns with Grammarly privacy. ProWritingAid is another option.

I’ve used ProWritintAid but currently use ‘Antidote’ from the Canadian firm Druide Informatique Inc. This app collaborates with the Apple email and Ulysses.

I had sent that as a suggestion to the initial Newton owners a few years ago and their response back then was that they had indeed approach Grammarly for a possible integration, but they weren’t interested. I hope that things are different now. Another possible alternative could be Microsoft Editor (https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-365-blog/introducing-microsoft-editor-bring-out-your-best-writer-wherever/ba-p/1247931)

I would pay for Gramarly Premium if it was integrated with Newton

This would be great on a Chromebook. Android apps running on Chrome OS have no spell check facility whatsoever

Better use Language Tool that supports more languages than Gramarly

Gosh yes please. I find I’m missing spelling errors all the time because they are not highlighted.

If Grammarly not possible at the moment, can you also try GingerSoftware which is also a good application.

Related: There seems to be a nice integration of Grammarly with vscode and it is open-source: https://github.com/znck/grammarly

They seem to use free version until you sign in with Grammarly, which then uses your subscription.

Perhaps this could be useful to integration Grammarly into Newton?

Grammarly just released their official API, which includes plug n’ play sdks: https://developer.grammarly.com/

Newton doesn’t have to cover the costs anymore

I wouldn’t limit this option with Grammarly only. if possible, please consider integrating Language Tool (which is multilangual) as well. https://languagetool.org
