Not officially, but many users (myself included) are finding that emails are not being sent, received, or synced. And support is non-responsive.

Hello, I am a long time Newtown subscriber (when it was first called CloudMagic initially). I am having lots of problems with my gmail and yahoo accounts. Specifically, I am not receiving the emails when they are actually received. And then draft emails I send out (using Newton) are never actually sent. Sometimes it takes days later, if I am lucky. Is this going to be resolved soon? I cannot live like this.
Hey Newton team - I am not sure what is going on there but the app is starting to become useless for me. I have been with Newton through the last 7 years and for the last 2 weeks, I have to re-auth every single one of my email addresses everyday (sometimes multiple times a day) for the app to receive any emails. This has caused me to miss very important work meetings. Do you have any idea when this will be fixed? I am willing to do this till the end of this week and then I am going to have to find another email app. I have sent in support tickets 2 times with no response.
Very sorry about this everyone. Our lead backend engineer who was working on this was hospitalized. I’m working on finding someone else who can step in
Hey Justin - I get it. If you need help finding an engineer, I may be able to help. What qualifications are you looking for and would this be a free thing or a pay thing. I work with some amazing engineers and have tons of cyber security connections.
Honestly the issue isn’t finding talent. It’s having someone come in and fix someone in a nearly 15 year old codebase that we didn’t even write ourselves.
Sorry Justin, but I have to call this BS. These issues have been around for like a month. With no or little explanation. When you try to get in touch no response. You guys just need to get your shit together FAST! It is not just now, I’ve been using Newton for a long time but malfunction has been a regular occurance and informing clients / user on the other end not so much.

No lying here. We have no money, make no money on this app, and only lose money. This is a passion project for me. I’m self funding it. Your fees go straight to the servers and we don’t make a dime off Newton. It’s an incredibly small team of part time folks working on it, as again, we have no money to pay for a team.
Then ask for 100 usd / year. I think everyone would be happy to pay that for a working app. Now we pay 50 for a non working one.
I’d love to charge more. You think folks that are threatening to sue me over $4/month are gonna like that to be $8/month? I think 50% of my Twitter DMs last year was folks asking for a discount. I would gladly pay even $20 a month for Newton but I’m very certain I’m in the minority.
