Superhuman Trial#898

If anyone is interested in trying Superhuman, please use my referral link, and you’ll get your first month free (I will get some kickback as well). As a long-time Newton user and still to this day hoping the service somehow comes back from the grave or becomes community-supported, I have moved my effort to work with the team at Superhuman to hopefully steer their development towards bringing to life some of the unique little things Newton did great, and we all loved.

There is no guarantee, but if you decide to stick with Superhuman, e-mail their support and let them know you are/were a Newton user, and they should be able to give you special pricing.

Lastly, they significantly improved AI and integrations with HubSpot and Salesforce. Their development is obviously on a much faster track than Newton’s.

Before waisting peoples time, let them know that Superhuman costs a crazy amount fo dollar per month ($25). For that money, you can get Microsoft Office365 with 1Gb space and then some.

You are comparing email service (M365) to an email application/solution. Also guessing you meant 1TB and not 1GB, which is the OneDrive storage and not email (email is 50GB).

You can argue that Microsoft Outlook or Apple Mail are free or included in the above, but assuming Newton users want a premium or improved email experience and don’t mind paying extra for it then Superhuman although it’s one of the priciest options at $25 may be worth it especially if you are in sales and find value in the HubSpot or Salesforce integrations.

Dude, do you really believe that average Newton users were some profesionals working in sales??? Newton wasn’t developed for months and years now, and offers absolutely nothing special compared to Apple Mail or Outlook. Hence, even basic features didn’t or don’t work as expected. Do you really believe so called professionals could live with such a bad app? What exactly is the premium experience which Newton offers compared to Mail or Outlook these days? There isn’t any besides people being robbed by the current owners of Newton. Maybe for some “professionals” there might be a magical feature in Superhuman worth $25 per month. For the average user that price is absolutely crazy and not justified. Just my opinion. On top of that, my advice to all: as soon as you see a subscription model for an app, run as fast as you can.

Maybe not sales, but wanting features like read receipts, send later, mailbox sorting etc. I was a Newton user since the CloudMagic days and have dealt with their server issues last year and their billing issues to the point I had to call my bank.

The fact is most people that were using Newton wanted something better than the default email apps. I’ve tried them all and both Superhuman and Spark I think are the best due to their keyboard shortcuts, interface and features.

Personally I am in business development role and although I am NOT paying $25 at the rate that I am at $15 is worth it when you consider the AI and integrations…it saves me time!

If you dont find value in the time saving features, then you should stick with Outlook or Apple Mail. There are costs associated with providing the services that Newton and Superhuman provide, Newtons failure is mismanagement and being unethical.

Personally, I hate receipts because they are violating my privacy. Besides that, send later, follow up, mailbox sorting and a lot more are all possible with Mail and Outlook. AI is usefull for those who use english as their main language and receive mail in english. For the rest it doesn’t matter but that is not the point here. As I said, $25 IMHO is far to much for a mail app/service/call it however you want. Most of those functions are already implemented in Mail/Outlook and with the beginn of the next year, Apple Mail will also profit from Apple Intelligence. All that of course for free. I wouldn’t mind paying some $5 per month for a mail app if i would like it, but hell no, never $25 for a personal user.

I need read receipts notifications! Superhuman doesn’t support that! :(

I have tried SuperHuman again. I am liking it and because I am an academic, it’s 10 USD per month. It does have read receipts on iOS, not sure how to view them on MacOS. The one issue I have is that my employer wil not let me use it on my Exchange email, which is used for patient work. But it’s working great on my enterprise Gmail. I am enjoying it as much or more than Newton. I need to get them to allow my Exchange, but for 10 USD per month, I will continue for the time being.
